📢 Call for Participation: AOSP Devroom @ IndiaFOSS 2025, Bengaluru (19 - 21 Sept 2025)

We are calling the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) developers, hobbyists, engineers, and tinkerers to share their insights, experiences, and innovations around Android in the first ever AOSP devroom at IndiaFOSS 2025.

Whether you're deep in the internals of the Android framework or just getting started with your first port, we welcome talks that span the wide spectrum of AOSP-related development. This devroom is designed to be inclusive for both newcomers and seasoned contributors.

Suggested Topics (not exhaustive):

• AOSP Bring-Up & Porting: Getting Android running on new hardware platforms
• Android Common Kernel: Evolution, integration challenges, and debugging techniques
• Android Bootloaders: From BL1 to fastboot – everything in between
• The AOSP Community & Ecosystem: How to get involved and contribute effectively
• Deep Dives: Architecture, Internals, HALs, Binder, and AOSP Security mechanisms
• Performance & Debugging: Case studies, tools, and war stories
• AOSP Tips & Tricks: Hidden features, development shortcuts, and best practices
• Headless Android: Use-cases, customization, and deployment
• Android Automotive OS: Development, deployment, and ecosystem integration
• Android Testing: Instrumentation, unit testing, CTS, and test automation
• Android Custom ROMs: Building, maintaining, and distributing custom Android builds

Talk Formats:

• Lightning Talk: 10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A
• Standard Session: 20 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A
