Job Title   :  Mid/Senior level Back End Java Software Developer 

Location   :  Sterling, VA (candidates must be out of VA or DC, or at least located on East Coast).

Duration   :  6+ Months 

Rate         : $44/hr Max to Max   

 

Job Description:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably  Master's degree in Computer Science

4-8 years' experience with multiple programming technologies, including Java, XML/XSLT/WSDL, Spring/Hibernate, Web Services.\

Experience analyzing, designing and implementing integration solutions using J2EE technologies or related technologies

2-4 years' experience with Scrum, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, User Acceptance Testing.

Key technology experience in areas such as JavaScript, HTML5, tomcat etc.

Expert in database driven web applications using MySQL and using and managing change management tools, Subversion, Jira etc.and  with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques, ex. JUnit.

Desirable - experience working with content management systems, SEO, SEM, Google Analytics,

Key Job Functions

Design and develop web applications for consumer facing applications and Support the design and planning of architecture to support goals of the project.

Assist development teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Utilizes a working knowledge of J2EE and Java development to troubleshoot technical issues (error messages, bugs with the software, availability).

Proactively communicates with the development, QA teams and management to anticipate configuration management issues/processes.

Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes.

Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project lifecycle.
