Les reenvío esta información relevante en caso de que les interese hacer seguimiento a este evento paralelo a la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas a realizarse MAÑANA JUEVES 19 DE SEPTIEMBRE. La actividad la promueve el Grupo Mayor de Mujeres de la Convención de Rio y procura introducir una agenda feminista y progresista de la sociedad civil y otras organizaciones de base en las discusiones actuales sobre la Agenda de Desarrollo Post 2015 y de Rio+20.

El evento será transmitido en vivo vía internet en http://webtv.un.org

A partir de mañana se difundirán los documentos mediante los cuales el Grupo Mayor de Mujeres contribuye a estas discusiones. Dear Friends,

The Women's Major Group (WMG) and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) New York
Office are pleased to invite you to the side event, "Strengthening Gender
Justice and Human Rights to Achieve Sustainable Development," on Thursday,
September 19th, from 3 pm to 6 pm EST in the United Nations Trusteeship
Council Chamber (located in the UN General Assembly building), New York,
USA.

The event will also be webcast live and on-demand at http://webtv.un.org
(Please view the attached Time Table for the Live Webcast)

This event will launch the joint publication of WMG/FES paper titled
"Strengthening Gender Justice and Human Rights to Achieve Sustainable
Development." Additionally, this event will launch the WMG compilation
document "Gender Equality, Women's Rights and Women's Priorities:
Recommendations for the Proposed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and
the Post- 2015 Development Agenda", from which the WMG/FES paper is drawn.
These publications highlight women's perspectives on sustainable
development themes and provide detailed analyses and recommendations.
