Job # 1
A leading Bank in Kuwait requires candidates for the Financial Control
Division, for the posts of:-
1) Assistant Manager - Financial Accounting
Job Responsibilities:
• Comply with all reporting, accounting and audit requirements imposed by the Central Bank of Kuwait
• Produce quarterly and annual Financial Statements
• Submission of regulatory reports to Central Bank of Kuwait
• Ensure compliance to statutory requirements i.e. Commercial law. IFRS. Corporate Governance
• Maintain policies and procedures
• Manage General Ledgers control properly and the accounts are substantiated and reconciled
• Assist to evaluate and coordinate the implementation of reporting tools purchased by the Bank for FCD to streamline/
automate the internal and external reporting
■ Liaison with peers within and outside FCD
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• ACA. ACCA qualified accountant
■ 5 years post qualification experience, of which 2 years in a financial institution
• Understanding of the banking industry Is essential
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with Kuwait commercial law and Central Bank regulations
• Excellent Excel and database skills, knowledge of reporting tools preferred
• Excellent English skills; report writing and presentations skills, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
2) Assistant Manager - Management Reporting
Job Responsibilities:
• Implementation of procedures to support the budgetary control function and a variance reporting system, which will provide
management with meaningful financial data for decision making.
• Implementation of new management and control concepts used to evaluate the performance, profitability and economics of the
Bank and its major business segments/ units.
• Submission of regulatory reports to Central Bank of Kuwait
• Ensure compliance to statutory requirements i .e. Commercial law. IFRS, Corporate Governance
• Maintain policies and procedures
• Assist to evaluate and coordinate the implementation of reporting tools purchased by the Bank for FCD to streamline/
automate the internal and external reporting
• Liaison with peers within and outside FCD
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• ACA, ACCA, CMA qualified accountant
• 5 years post qualification experience working in a financial institution
• Detailed understanding of the banking industry is essential
• Technical knowhow of FTP. Customer/ product profitability
• Excellent Excel and database skills, knowledge of reporting tools preferred
• Excellent English skills, report writing and presentations skills, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
3) Supervisor - Regulatory Reporting
Job Responsibilities.
• Supervises/prepares financial statements and supporting schedules required by the Central Bank of Kuwait.
• Coordinates with Central Bank of Kuwait to respond to inquiries concerning the statements submitted.
• Verifies test reports generated for new systems being implemented.
• Ensures all customers CB indicator / ES code are rightly mentioned by the Credit Admin / Retail.
• Verifies work of subordinates as required to ensure accuracy.
• Prepares memoranda to resolve information related problems that arise.
• Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified or part qualified accountant or equivalent
• 5 years experience, of which 2 years in a financial institution
• Understanding of the Central Bank regulations is essential
• Excellent Excel and database skills, knowledge of reporting tools preferred
• Excellent English skills; report writing and presentations skills, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
