Diskwarrior 5 Serial Number Is No Longer Valid Means

DiskWarrior 5 is a major update to this essential app and includes a number of new features. The most visible is that it no longer comes on a CD. You now get a bootable flash drive that contains the software. To optimize or repair a startup volume, you boot from the flash drive. To work on any other connected disk, you can copy the software to your Mac and run it from there.
LED Status Lights. Since the front panel no longer covers the bottom row of status lights, the lights are brighter than the rest of the LEDs behind the panel. If I set the Drobo 5C brightness to 5, and have it next to a 3rd generation Drobo also set to 5, the blue LEDs on the 5C are much brighter because they are no longer being filtered out through the clear plastic of the face plate. It also means the 5C lights behind the faceplate are dimmer than the ones below it.
By the time you see this posting, the price may no longer be valid, but you might consider activating a Camel Camel Camel account to do your own tracking. A flashing folder with a question mark, at startup time, means that the machine cannot find a valid boot volume. This doesn't necessarily mean that the hardware is broken; it may just be that the contents of the interna drive got corrupted or erased.
One of the issues I have found with Ventura is that Apple now prevents you from accessing the System partition from Disk Utility. This means it seems no longer possible with a corrupted System to boot to Recovery; erase the System partition; and reinstall MacOS into it preserving the data on the drive. My experience is you can reinstall macOS onto the drive again but it now goes into the data partition and you lose the former System partition space unless you backup, and erase the drive first. Thís might have been some glitch or failure on my part to do this correctly as I have never found any documentation on doing this and Apple Support is of no assistance in doing this as they claim it is beyond the level of support that they can offer.
