REINSTATE ALL CANCELLED SERVICES FROM PUNALUR

The following buses whih was in service from PUNALUR DEPOT were
cancelled without any information.REQUESTING TO REINSTATE THESE ROUTES
AT THE EARLIEST.

1.The bus that was leaving to Alwaye at 8 AM from Punalur is now
operated by the KPZA depot as EKM FP at the same time. But recently
they have changed the return time as the crew wanted to reach KPZA by
10 PM.

2. There was a Nedumabssery Airport FP at 7.45 AM operated by the CGNR
depot from PLR. Now they have converted it into a TSR FP.

3. There was a TVLA Railway station FP at 5.30 AM in the mid nineties
from PLR depot.(8000 was the bus used)

4. PLR-Aluva FP at 6.30 AM via KTR during the early 1980's also
disappeared.

5. 6.30 AM PLR-GVR LSFP through ADR, KTM, MVPA, PBVR

Anyway we got back our GVR FP buses back in PLR depot from GVR depot
because of the court order. Though the route of the 6.30 AM GVR LSFP
was changed, both the buses are now getting operated from PLR without
any break.

RRE502 is used for the 6.20 AM GVR LSFP via ADR, KYLM, ALP, EKM, ANK
and RAA147 is used for the 1.30 PM GVR LSFP.

Some of the other buses that were stopped from PLR depot are.

1. Kundara- Thenmala FP
2. PLR- Kundara-Prakkulam FP

Both the above buses were stopped totally when KYLM chain service
started.

3.PLR-TVM FP at 6.40 AM via Vilakkupara(OScar award winner Rasul
Pokkutty's village), Anchal, Ayoor, TVM medical College.

4. PTPM-Kovalam FP which was operated by PLR depot in the mid
eighties.

5. Anakkulam-Kovalam FP which was operated by PLR depot in the mid
eighties.

6. Channapetta-TVM FP which was operated by PLR depot in the late
nineties.

7. PLR-Kadakkal-TVM FP at 6.50 AM which was transferred to CDLM depot.

8. Pattazhi-TVM FP operated by some other depot in the eighties.

Apart from the baove buses only very few people in PLR know that a TSR
SF bus and ALP SF bus was operated from PLR depot during 1995 January
- March for three months.

1. TSR SF bus was at 6.00 AM via KTR, KLM, KYLM, ALP, EKM and used to
reach TSR at 12 noon. It was transferred to KNPY depot and now it is
operated as a KNPY-TSR-TVM-KNPY SF. TA 679 (TATA) was the bus.

2. ALP SF was leaving at 7.30 AM in the above route KLM, KYLM. TA677
(TATA) was the bus. I dont know to where it was transferred.

There was a PAMPA FP which used to leave PLR at 4.30 AM and at 1.30 PM
on a regular basis during the SABARIMALA season. During 2001 it was
stopped. Now PAMPA bus will leave PLR station only when the bus gets
filled.

Then the buses that were inaugurated by the transport minister in
1984......


The list of buses that left punalur is long. Why the authorities are
showing such a negligence only towards Punalur depot? Maybe the
Punalur people are not reacting. Atleast let us react through this
blog. Let us hope the authorities may open their eyes atleast now and
know the importance of Punalur.
