I did get an invitation for second meeting on Energy Program as shown
below I will neeed input from other so we make our case.


World Bank Group Energy Strategy Consultations

On behalf of the World Bank Group, I am pleased to invite you to
participate in a
consultation on the World Bank Group Energy Strategy to be held at Hilton
Hotel-Amboseli Room on May 21, 2010, from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

To prepare the strategy we are undertaking inclusive and transparent
consultations
with all World Bank Group stakeholder groups. During this first phase of the
consultation process, which will be ongoing from February to June, 2010, we are
engaging local and international agencies in a dialogue based on our
Energy Strategy
Approach Paper and Background Brief (copies attached).

Through the consultative meeting in Nairobi on May 21, 2010 we are seeking views
from stakeholders on the following:

· Where the help of the World Bank Group in the energy sector
is most needed

· Whether the proposed approach adequately addresses the needs
of the poor and
marginalized and any suggestions for strengthening this aspect

· Whether the proposed approach strikes the right balance
between meeting the needs
and priorities of low-income countries along with those of
middle-income countries

· Which principles the World Bank Group should follow in
resolving trade-offs
between meeting local energy needs of individual countries and reducing global
greenhouse gas emissions

· What role the World Bank Group should play in promoting new
technologies and/or
helping to transfer existing technologies to new markets and how much weight the
Bank Group should give to each

· Other suggestions for strengthening the World Bank
Group’s work in the
energy sector





Your comments and recommendations will be used to inform the drafting
of the Energy
Strategy. The Strategy is scheduled for discussion by the World Bank
Group Board of
Executive Directors in early 2011.

We sincerely hope that you will accept this invitation and join us at the
consultation. If you are unable to attend, it would be greatly
appreciated if you
could identify a representative from your organization to participate
in your place.
