Dear Chess Friends,
Greetings from Chess Kenya.
On behalf of Chess Kenya and ICKC, we are pleased to inform you that after the successful Special General Meeting (SGM) on 7th April, 2013, Chess Kenya has a new Constitution.
It is with this effect that we cordially invite you to attend the Chess Kenya Annual General Meeting set for (AGM)set for Sunday April 21st, 2013 at the KNSC Boardroom at Nyayo Stadium from 1430Hrs to 1700Hrs.
An Elections Board was set up to oversee the Elections comprising of the following:
1. Douglas Ratemo - ICKC Chair & Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs
2. Charles Nyaberi - ICKC Treasurer & KNSC Treasurer
3. Anna Maina - ICKC & NOCK Representative
4. Additional Ministry of Sports Delegate - To be Announced
Assisting the Elections Board strictly in a verification and informative capacity are:
5. John Mukabi - Veteran Chess Player & Coach
6. Martin Oyamo - Veteran Chess Player & Coach
Agenda:
1. Election of new Office Bearers
2. ICKC Handover
Voting Rights:
The following criteria were agreed upon:
1. Payment of Chess Kenya membership fee for 2013 as prescribed in the Chess Kenya Constitution.
2. Satisfactiion of the Activity clause as prescribed by the Elections board.
3. Individual members, Institutional Club members, College and University members will have a vote subject to 1 & 2 above.
Important Dates:
1. Monday 15th April 2013 - Deadline for completing submission of nominations for persons vying for elective posts.
2. Wednesday 17th April 2013 - Deadline for payment of Chess Kenya Membership fees to attend AGM.

2. Mpesa Treasurer - Mr. Charles Nyaberi - 0722530399
The Elections Board will be sending out further clarification and information concerning the Elections AGM.
