Dear Friends,

My apologies for sending out 2 emails within a day!  See details of Kenya's most prestigious chess event coming up this weekend.

This is where the team to be selected for the 2018 Batumi Olympiad starts.  The top 24 will go to stage number 2 before being reduced to the top 10 who will join the 2017 Kenya National Champion to play a round robin event with 11 players (ie top 10 plus National Champion).

The number of players who have registered stand at 50 in the Open and 16 in the Ladies section.  A huge surge of players are expected to register before the 5pm deadline on 8th Dec 2017.

Two former Kenya National Champions Ben Magana and Mehul Gohil have registered for the event.
