Hello Kenya 2011, 2012 & Haiti 2012! 

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Britany Smith. I was part of the Kenya 2011 team and Haiti 2012 team. Many of you already know this, but for those that don't, I send a lot of reminder emails... so here is the first!   

I am writing to talk to you about the upcoming Hope Missions Concert. The concert this year is on July 25th (That's less than a month away!). This concert is the biggest fundraising event we have with newhope and hope missions besides your own individual support. So we all need to work together to make this concert a success!

This is the third year we will be doing the concert. The last two years we had a cookout/bake sale starting about an hour before the concert, where we sold all food and drink items for one dollar. I believe we will be doing this again this year so we will need volunteers to man the grill & concessions. 

Last year we added the silent auction, which we are hoping to do again this year! For this we need your help! If possible in the next few weeks we need to collect items for the silent auctions. Items such as gift certificates to local business', gift baskets, and this year I was think we could add a some authentic Haitian and Kenyan items. I was thinking we could possible auction off "our experiences"... our pictures (framed photos or canvas prints), souvenirs, or items that will connect those coming to the concert with our experiences we've had there. and possibly recruit more people for future trips! What do you all think? Please try to use your connections, I don't want you to have to use your own money.

To all the teams, we need your help! If you are able to volunteer at the concert, please let us know. Also, let us know of any donations!

This is fantastic!  Thank you.  We are all very excited about the concert and your generous donation will certainly help to
make it a success.  Please let me know if I need to pick up the items prior to July 25th or if you have arrangements to get
them to the church.
