Not sure if any of you are aware, but you can computer control you LDG AT-600 Pro II and LDG AT-1000 Pro II tuners via the meter port on the back.

I have attached the PDF from LDG on how to wire the cable. Google Groups will not let me attach the executable for the program, but if you are interested I can get that to you.

Additionally I have put two links below, one for the FTDI USB cable and one for the S-Video cable you would need to build the cable.  I split the S-Video cable in two (only need one end) and then cut the end pin header of the FTDI USB cable.  Then you just need the Black (ground), Orange (TXD), and Yellow (RXD) on the FTDI USB Cable if you buy the same one I had.

There is a somewhat buggy Linux command line utility for the tuner on GitHub here for any Linux users: https://github.com/Efpophis/LDGCtl.

The same author has released a Windows GUI that's nicer than LDGs official utility as it also shows power and SWR graphs.  That one is here: https://github.com/Efpophis/LDGControl/releases

A couple of months ago I started a cross-platform Python/GTK GUI version roughly based on the two projects above.  I haven't had much time to work on it lately but if there is any interest I might dive back in.

That sounds promising and interesting.  I am a big fan of LDG tuners.  I assume if the port can send data to one of the LDG meters, you should be able to pick up that same signal on the USB cable.  I never was a programmer, I went the opposite direction and do networking and IT security as a career.  But if you decide to pick it back up, I will try and help in anyway that I can.
