Greetings colleagues!
Paramedic credentialed EMS educators are required to verify competency in their students prior to being able to sit for the NREMT certification exam. There are a number of questions regarding what this competency looks like as
well as standardization of their assessments.
Investigators at Eastern Kentucky University are requesting participation in a survey on competency in the paramedic student. This brief survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, involves watching a short,
seven minute video of a paramedic student undergoing an ACLS scenario as a team leader. There is a follow up with eight brief questions regarding the student’s competency.
Results will be utilized to improve the performance of paramedic students on psychomotor and cognitive exams. Completion of this survey by the deadline of 2359, March 2, 2016 is necessary.
In appreciation, all who complete this exercise by the deadline will be entered into a drawing for four $50 Amazon gift card. Your participation will add to the existing knowledge & literature regarding EMS education.
