Revered by pious Muslims as "the holy of holies",[81] whose sound moves some to "tears and ecstasy",[82] it is the physical symbol of the faith, the text often used as a charm on occasions of birth, death, marriage. Traditionally, before starting to read the Quran, ablution is performed, one seeks refuge in Allah from the accursed satan, and the reading begins by mentioning the names of Allah, Rahman and Rahim together.[citation needed] Consequently,

Some non-Muslim groups such as the Baháʼí Faith and Druze view the Quran as holy. In the Baháʼí Faith, the Quran is accepted as authentic revelation from God along with the revelations of the other world religions, Islam being a stage within the divine process of progressive revelation. Bahá'u'lláh, the Prophet-Founder of the Baháʼí Faith, testified to the validity of the Quran, writing, say: "Perused ye not the Qur'án? Read it, that haply ye may find the Truth, for this Book is verily the Straight Path. This is the Way of God unto all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth."[192] Unitarian Universalists may also seek inspiration from the Quran. It has been suggested that the Quran has some narrative similarities to the Diatessaron, Protoevangelium of James, Infancy Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew and the Arabic Infancy Gospel.[193][194] One scholar has suggested that the Diatessaron, as a gospel harmony, may have led to the conception that the Christian Gospel is one text.[195]

Primary Outcome Measures : Depression, anxiety and Stress level [ Time Frame: 4 days after intervention ]Depression, Anxiety, and Stress will be measured by The Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS21). DASS 21 is a set of self-reported items used to measure the intensity of depression, anxiety and stress. It consists of three seven-item scales (a total of 21 items): depression scale (DS), anxiety scale (AS), and stress scale (SS). Items are measured through a four point Likert scale from 0 (did not apply to me at all) to 3 (applied to me very much, or most of the time). Items in each scale are summed, whereby higher scores indicate higher levels of DAS. A score between 0 and 4, 0 and 3, 0-7 is considered normal DAS, respectively. A score between 5 and 6, 4 and 5, 8 and 9 is considered mild DAS, respectively. A score between 7 and 10, 6 and 7, 10-12 is considered moderate DAS, respectively. A score between 11 and 13, 8 and 9, 13-16 is considered severe DAS, respectively. A score above 13, 9, 16 is considered extremely severe D&A, respectively.
Pain severity [ Time Frame: 4 days after intervention ]Pain will be assessed using pain numeric scale from 0-10 as the following. 0 no pain at all, 1-3 mild, 4-6 moderate, 7-10 sever
Length of stay at the hospital [ Time Frame: through study completion, an average of 3 months ]This will be abstracted from medical records after discharge and will be reported in days

The same month, the UN General Assembly adopted, by consensus, a Moroccan resolution, co-sponsored by Pakistan, calling for countering hate speech and strongly deploring attacks against places of worship, religious symbols and holy books.

This month, the Swedish government ruled out any sweeping changes to its freedom of speech laws but repeated it would look into measures that would allow police to stop the burning of holy books in public if there is a clear threat to national security, Al Jazeera said in its recent report.

Holy Quran desecrations are permitted in Sweden, Denmark and Norway but not in neighbouring Finland where desecration of holy scriptures in public is illegal. Sweden had a similar law but removed it in the 1970s.

Sweden has laws banning hate speech against ethnic, national and religious groups and people on grounds of sexual orientation. However, the desecration of holy scriptures has thus far not qualified as hate speech but has been seen as acceptable criticism.
