Adobe Programs are awesome. Adobe After Effects is for special effects
and Adobe Premiere Pro is for putting clips together (with a few cool
effects) they are what I use. Don't be fooled however! Adobe Premiere
Pro's latest version is actually 2.0. I don't know why but they started
over on the numbers. Lots of people think they have the latest version
with 7.0 but it's actually 2.0. So yeah, and for audio editing and such
I use Adobe Audition. Keep in mind however, that if you can only afford
one of these programs, get Premiere because it is the only one that can
really put a movie together, AE (After Effects) can do all the cool
effects, but you don't have anything if you can't put multiple clips
together, (unless your goal is to just have a short special effect
clip, in which case that's fine) :) Anyway, it's not cheap, but good
luck :)
