Red Kite

Between junction 5 and 6 of the M2 this evening I saw a Red Kite I think for the bird was darker in appearance than the many Red’s I see on the M40, but then I could have been a young bird, did not have enough time to check detail at 65mph so the only other option would be Black Kite which I’ve only ever seen before in a single raptor collection, but that is highly unlikely.  I have felt for some time it would not be long before Red Kites start breeding in Kent.
