Hopefully some good news. I applied our group to the O'Reilly Users Group program last week, and just got notice that we were accepted.

It pretty much means two things. One, We have a discount code which will give you 35% off anything purchased through the O'Reilly store (http://oreilly.com/store/) with a coupon code of: DSUG. Secondly, we can request review copies of their books. What that means is, we can request any book, if we're willing to right a review of the book and post it to our site, your personal blog, or a newsletter(if we had one).

I did this this for a photography club I started a few years ago and they sent a boxload of books right away, and were good about sending out requested copies right away. Plus they sometimes would randomly send out a copy of a new book they're releasing.

I hope to have the welcome kit before the next meeting, and if I do I will bring it along.
