Help Somerville Homeless Coalition by Collecting Star Market & Shaw's Saver Stamps

This is the 6th year that members of our community are collecting stamps, from Star Market and Shaw's, to be redeemed for items that will be donated to the Somerville Homeless Coalition. SHC staff distributes these items to shelters, to clients moving into new homes, and to folks picking up food at Project SOUP.
In the past five years, we’ve redeemed 52,164 stamps for dinnerware, cookware, cutlery, flatware, bakeware, and small appliances with a retail value of $17,636.35. I wonder how much we can add to those totals this year!
This year, both Star Market and Shaw’s are offering the same items: Luminarc’s PureBox glass food-storage containers. If you shop at these stores and would like to help members of our community who are served by the Somerville Homeless Coalition, please take the stamps and get them to me. One of the drop-off envelopes will be in the front office of our school. Loose stamps are best, but those already on "stamp savers” can also be used.
