Seasons Greetings from Kenfig.org Local Community Group

The Kenfig.org website has just reached another important milestone in
its evolution - attracting just over 2 million online hits to date
throughout 2009 alone and with the website being a permanent ongoing
online resource with a substantial amount of information yet to be
published, we feel very proud to announce this piece of news to our
friends and online worldwide audience at large.

Throughout 2009, more and more educational establishments around the
globe have been using the Kenfig.org website which gives us enormous
personal pleasure and satisfaction knowing that the site appears not
only robust enough to meet the demands of its 21st century online
audience but more so, in that it is being used for its original
intented purpose of providing an online eduational resource that aides
the teaching of local history, especially within South Wales, United
Kingdom with the teaching of local history that forms a part of the
National Curriculum in our country.

Since the Kenfig.org website was originated, as a personal website in
March 2003 and afterwards, as a community organisation in March 2004,
we have sadly encountered some local politics that has somewhat
delayed the publishing of a reasonable amount of information on the
website - we are hoping that 2010 brings out the best in our local
community and that certain local people and organisations can learn
from past mistakes and begin a new, more purposeful cooperation with
ourselves and our sponsors that will not only aide our local and
national heritage, but more importantly aide the interests and welfare
of every child's education, both locally, nationally and
internationally in the process.

The Kenfig.org Local Community Group, being responsible for the
Kenfig.org website & this newsgroup will continue to strive towards
removing Junk & Spam postings from this very newsgroup - we are
looking towards integrating a newsgroup/forum into our main site in
the near future thus not solely relying on 3rd party website servers
that appear to continually attract the spam that this very newsgroup
generates; all current members of this newsgroup will be notified in
due course as to whether or not we will pursue this matter further, we
will of course outline how we plan on integrating this and as to
whether existing members of this newsgroup wish to transfer to the new
newsgroup if this is implemented.

Many thanks for your continued support both with this newsgroup and
the Kenfig.org website.
