This problem is being caused by automatic spam being posted on Google
Group servers - as you have subscribed to this Google Group this
horrendous annoyence is being automatically emailed to all members in
this particular group just as if an exisiting or new member is
actually posting a message on this google group itself.

As the administrator for the kenfig.org group created on google groups
I am constantly removing such postings as soon as I am possibly able
to do so - this is a bloody pain and is also annoying me too, I am
trying to create a group which all members can benefit from. It is
only in recent times that some members are posting fantastic
information and invaluable feedback on this group with regards the war
years around the Kenfig area.

During the past 10 years I have personally used and learned from
posting information on newsgroups in general thus creating this very
newsgroup with the aims of providing an interactive online
communications channel solely for the Kenfig and surrounding areas -
some groups on google appear not to be troubled by such problems
whilst others are so called 'spammed' out of existence. This Group
will never fall into the latter - I will attempt to contact the people
in the background at google groups and look into alternative measures
that can be put in place in an attempt to solve these issues.

My humble appologies for any offence these issues may be causing -
sadly these issues are a generalisation on using the Internet at large
in the modern world. The so called spam is possibly not even being
produced manually, if someone's computer is infected by a computer
virus (even without the owners knowledge) that computer acts as a
'zombie' machine and together with many other infected computers
around the world is generating spam messages through the computer
virus attached; that's why it is imperative to use anti virus, malware
and spyware computer software protection when using the Internet.

As the administrator of the kenfig.org google group I am posting this
statement to all users of this group advising of these issues, thank
you for your concern. We will defeat spam in the long term if we all
understand it's meaning and purpose - it is intended to interrupt and
cause a problem with the general running of affairs; this is something
we at the kenfig.org google group and at the kenfig.org local
community group at large will not tolerate - we have already overcome
local politics attempting to shut down our very website project over
the last couple of years... these issues on google groups is trivial
in comparrison.

We will continue to remove all unwanted postings to this newsgroup
just as quickly as they are posted here.
We will not tolerate so called SPAM postings in this area of the
Kenfig online community.

Hi Rob, Thank you for the update. Sad to say, I had to unsubscribe not only for myself but my 5 yr old grandson uses my pc.

What a shame this type of thing spoils membership.
