Hi,

some notes from Wednesday's season kick-off meeting.

* Our hall times are the same as the previous season: Mon, Wed
19:45-21:15. The first practice is September 1st.
* I will be away from Estonia from mid-November to mid-April. I will
lead the beginner course and after that Jaanus and Raigo can take over.
There is also high chance that people from Tallinn will occasionally
come by to participate in the practices.
* We will start the beginner course on September 8th or 15th. If you
have strong opinions on the choice between the two, please let me know.
* We will organize the shinai fixing workshop before the beginner course.
* Japanese embassy has call out for Japanese culture related events,
including kendo (https://www.ee.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/Momiji.html). I
will talk with the Jodo club, maybe it is possible to organize a joint
demonstration event sometime. Maybe it can be in September 8 or 15 to
kickstart the beginner course.
* The club has currently very good financial standing. I will run some
calculations, maybe we have a room to lower the fee to 30 EUR per month.

All the best,

--
Margus
