If anybody (Tarmo?) has time to write about the history of Estonian
kendo, now is a good time to do it -- EKF is compiling a book about
kendo federations.

Dear Friends,

As you may be aware, we are currently working on a history of the EKF to
be published as a book. As part of this we will also include a brief
history of each of the member national federations. I am attaching a
example of what the country pages will look like, along with the request
for information and instructions.

We hope that you can respond with the necessary information by 31st
March 2022.

Please see below some words from Dieter about the importance of the project.

"50 years history of EKF seem little in comparison to the centuries
Kendo, Iaido and Jodo took to develop. Still, those years are for all of
us part and basis of the things we can and shall do in the future. So
please share your respective national narrative with us, in order to be
combined with the more general story of EKF. This will become part of a
book project based on the materials the late EKF Technical Director
Jean-Pierre Raick has collected over the decades. This book then shall
serve as collective memory and inspiration for a hopefully bright
future, for the disciplines we cherish and all of us. Stay well.

Dieter Hauck,

President,

European Kendo Federation."

If you have any questions about the project or about your organisation's
submission, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Warm regards,

Kathryn Cassidy, Secretary General

European Kendo Federation (EKF)
