India May 24 WPI inflation rate 8.24% vs 8.10% week ago

NEW DELHI - India's headline inflation rate rose to 45-month-high
of 8.24% in the week ended May 24 from 8.10% a week earlier, the
commerce and industry ministry said today.
The rise in inflation rate is mainly on account of prices of non-
food articles.
In the week to May 24, index for all commodities rose 0.1% to
229.8 from 229.6 a week earlier. In the corresponding week last year,
the index had fallen 0.05% to 212.3.
The inflation rate was 5.15% a year ago.
