Prasanna Kumar Misra takes charge as new CBDT chairman

NEW DELHI - Prasanna Kumar Misra, a 1971 batch Indian Revenue
Service
officer today took over as Chairman, Central Board of Direct Taxes, a
government release said.
Misra, who was a Member (Investigation) in the CBDT since Jan 2007
before
assuming the current position, has earlier served in the income tax
department in various capacities.
S.S. Khan, a 1972 batch Indian Revenue Service officer also joined
as
CBDT Member, the release said. End
