The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) will organize a workshop on Capacity Building in Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine to take place during 11^th to 13^th November 2013 in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop will link young health professionals in Africa with experts in cell biology/regenerative medicine from India, Brazil and China for Capacity Building in Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine.

 

We are kindly requesting you to nominate young African health professionals, below the age of 45, who have a demonstrated engagement or well developed and institutionally backed interest in the theme of the workshop, i.e. Cell Biology/Regenerative Medicine. It is expected that a core group will be identified from among these young professionals to implement the recommendations of the workshop. Long-term activities will include a second workshop and short-term research visits to Bangalore, Sao Paolo and Beijing by the young professionals.

 

Please send in the curriculum vitae as well as a one-page ( 500 words) motivation letter for attending the Workshop from your nominees by 1:00pm 30^th September 2013.   Kindly send the names of the nominees and other material to Dr. Christine Wasunna at CWas...@kemri.org or clw20...@yahoo.com and copy to LKa...@kemri.org for onward transmission to AAS.
