Okanagan College is going to have community Garden on site!!

Kelowna Permaculture group will have two plots. The garden is in the process of being built by the College facility stuff. Many of you indicated strong interest in involving this project, and I'd like to use this group & our new site with calender to coordinate meetings/ associated event.

At this point, we need many people to start seedlings. We may not be able to start the garden till mid to late May, so some of plants need to be transplanted.

I'm looking for people who is interested in hosting "start seedling party".
At this start seedling party, we will saw seedlings. Attended members will take the sawed container(s) home and look after them. One huge benefit of this is that you can keep some for yourself. if it is not the kind you'd like to keep, you can swap them later! (we will host seedling swap party in the future as well). This is just an example of start seedling party. You can change the style as well. Try and learn!  Any suggestions, comments, idea are always welcome! post them here!

The host will provide:
a place to work (flat surface, either table or ground. table is ideal)
access to water.

Kelowna Permaculture gorup will provide:
seedling soil
seeds
container

We need your:
love and caring.

Good afternoon, I was looking for an e-mail contact on the site. I would like to know if there was any job offerings in the Kelowna area? I am very interested in participation in a project that promotes sustainability and would love to learn and grow with likeminded people. Thankyou for you time. Eliza-Jane

Dear Kelowna Permies!

My name is Lucie and my husband and I just moved here. We are super enthusiastic about permaculture and would love to get to know some people with similar interests. I am an aspiring permaculture teacher and at the moment I only work part-time, so I could host or facilitate a regular permaculture meeting in which we discuss ideas for projects, or simply chat about permaculture topics in person. Please let me know if there is anything along these lines ahappening already as both Victor and I would love to join up!

Thanks!!

Lucie
