I am very interested in your idea Lucie! We could probably meet at Choices Market or in my home sometimes when outdoors isn't comfortable.
I was part of the original permaculture group here in Kelowna and took my PDC in 2012. I also helped start the OC Community Garden and I look in on it from time to time but don't know who's taken over coordinating it. There are many other exciting community food projects happening around town as well. Again, I was in on beginning many but have had to step back for personal reasons.
I'd like to do more toward becoming a teacher too but most of all I want to meet and work with like-minded locals. Our original Kelowna permaculture group seems to have dissipated somewhat into informal social networks which is okay but leaves some people out and doesn't catch newcomers or recent residents such as you and your husband. I meet interested people from time to time but without a central organization or regular meeting the follow-up just doesn't seem to happen. I try to make it to the Vernon Permaculture monthly meeting but don't get there every last Wednesday of the month.
We should talk! I'd like to find a more elegant way of communicating however. I rarely use my gmail address and this is the first time I've been on the OC Community Garden Group in years. Thanks for your prompt.
