Wedding Hair & Make Up

Hi Lovelies!

Hope you're all doing well :)  In an attempt to truly get as much done as possible before school starts, I am hoping to have booked the people who will come do our hair and make-up for the day of the wedding by the end of next week.  I really encourage all of you to pay to have your hair done.  Make-up is up to you, but I do want all of you to wear some make-up (ahem... Taylor... hehe).  Everyone won't be wearing the same dresses, so I think this will help everyone somewhat uniform.

I've found 2 good options, both of which are available on May 18th:

Updo's
Bridesmaid Hair & Make-Up: $130
Bridesmaid Hair Only: $95
They did Kelin's wedding in 2008 and were PHENOMENAL!  I was totally obsessed with my hair and make up (pics attached).

S.T. Wedding Designs
Bridesmaid Hair & Make-Up: $125
Bridesmaid Hair Only: $80
They're new but have good reviews.  They're slightly cheaper because they're out of Raleigh.

Other salons won't give me a set price for hair and that makes me nervous.  I don't want anyone surprised by how much they'll have to pay on the day of.

So, two questions for you:

1.  Does the difference in pricing make a difference to you?  If not, I'm inclined to go with Updo's because I know they're great.  If it does, I can be convinced to go for the slightly cheaper one.
2.  Do these prices seem totally outrageous and do they totally stress you out?  If so, I'd love your help finding cheaper alternatives!  Preferably in the next week or so, that way I can start school knowing this is taken care of.

Let me know your answers!  And feel free to e-mail directly instead of replying to the group if you don't feel comfortable talking money in front of everyone!

I think if you love a certain place you should definitely go with them and because we all love you, we'll figure out how to deal with the price :) Money comes and goes but us looking fabulous in your wedding pictures is forever!!!

Kel do you realize it's only a $5 difference in price?!?! Of course go with the place that you already know that you love!! Peace of mind is definitely worth a few extra green ones!

Haha, well it's $15 cheaper if you only do hair.  I also wanted to run the prices by all of you before making a decision in case anyone knew of a better option.  I'll book Updo's on Monday if I don't figure out a better option before then.

I'm 100% on board.  I couldn't do my own hair to save my life, and the extra cost of professional makeup is definitely outweighed by the multiple benefits (making me look good, making you happy, etc).  So I say, go for it!  A little pampering never hurt anyone :)
