Hello.  I have been interested for a while in a real, "genuine," matrix screensaver that looks like what the movies had, not some hyped up, half-attempted one like most.  I can't believe more people haven't made more screesavers of the matrix.  Anyway, even though I'm on a mac, I previewed your screensaver on my bootcamp Win7 partition and I am simply amazed at the quality.  Being so amazed, I am disheartened a version doesn't exist for OS X.

Could you, the maker, release a fully-working version for the mac?  I don't imagine it would be so hard, as I believe macs can run screensavers from flash files, and converting your screesaver to flash shouldn't be hard.  I tried but couldn't convert your exe to flash myself with a few programs.  Maybe flash isn't necessarily the way here, but it seems the best for me.  Very eagerly expecting a positive reply.

Sorry, no short term plan to do a mac version.  Mac is the opposite of *everything* and only limited to a few, cryptic programming languages that everyone hates.  Don't get me started on programming languages.  :(    Maybe someday, when I have too much money and too much free time, I'll consider it.....

Hello, I don't know why you didn't approve my two extra messages I made a good month ago.  I will reiterate and say now what I tried to then.

You say you don't want to code anything new in a language that is foreign to you, and that's fine. I perfectly understand that.  In fact, I wouldn't have asked you if I wasn't sure you wouldn't have to code anything new.  Both macs and windows can play screensavers from flash files, and most likely you constructed your screensaver in a flash format.  Can you release the flash files that make up your screensaver?  From there it would be easy to construct a working mac version.  Again, I did my best to try to extract the flash files myself, but failed with the programs I found.  Maybe you didn't it in flash, or did and haven't responded for some reason. Can you respond to this?

Bob,

No, the screensaver is not flash-based, nor based on flash.
Someday, I may create something on the Mac, but not anytime soon.   1)..I need to work on projects that earn me $$$$$ for now.  2)..Mac doesn't support *real* programming languages.  Don't get me started on that one....

Ks,

Can you realease the source on something like github? I have some experience with mac and unix programming and making a port would be good practice for me.

Thanks,
-Marcel
