Hello Kelly Farm homeowners:
During the last HOA meeting this past week the results of the speed testing done in the neighborhood a few months ago were reviewed.
The results indicated that there is in fact a problem with excessive speed, especially heading southbound along 54th Ave as
homeowners exit the neighborhood. 1st Ave was also mentioned as another street with speed issues. As the end of the school year is approaching and families come out of winter hibernation and are spending more time outside again
please be aware of your speed through the neighborhood. The posted speed limit is 25mph. Recommendations from the report also suggest that stricter enforcement of the posted limit
could occur at any time with officers ticketing offenders for as little as a few miles per hour over the limit. Speeding tickets generally run about $140. That would seem to be a steep price to pay
to make it to the corner a few seconds sooner. PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. This message is being sent as a general informational piece so that Kelly Farm can remain a safe place for all.
