Hello
I have also moved to a new phone with Android 10. And I thought I would give some feedback of my experiences.
I have installed the latest version of Kellermeister on both phones: 20.11.1.
1. Synchronize all
After finding out that the import from a zip was no longer possible like before, I tried the "synchonize all" function. The text was transferred, but most of the photos were not. I have an exported zip file size of 30MB. It might be that I interrupted the sync to the cloud before all pics were transferred, so I tried again, and waited a longer time this time: the rotating waiting symbol never seems to stop. There is no indication of what is the progress. The export to zip is better. After waiting 20 minutes the waiting symbol stopped. Then for synchronize to the new phone I waited again 20 minutes, but I think most information and photos seem to have been transferred. The slow speed might be because of the speed of my internet connection.
(Note: the data was still slightly inconsistent when comparing with the source phone, so in the end I make the transfer using the file transfer method (2) below).
By the way what is the difference between synchronize and synchronize all?
2. Import with Files for Google
I also tried:
<<
Es gibt einen einfachen Workaround: die Datei, die zu importieren ist,
einfach außerhalb der App "anklicken". Das Android Betriebssystem
startet daraufhin die App und damit auch den Importvorgang.
>>
To import: 1) click on the zip file, 2) from the menu select "open with", 3) click on the kellermeister icon (import cellar), 4) click on the file, displayed by kellermeister, 5) then an import cellar status bar is shown and the import took me about 15 min. to finish.
Note in (4) the displayed file has incorrect information: it shows the date: 01/01/1970 and 0 kb, the number of records 311 is correct.
3. Export
However I do not see how to export my data with Kellermeister on Android 10. The data can be exported but it is hidden on the device, and I do not know how to access to it. I need to have access so that I can make a backup. I cannot see how to use the Share Cellar function to get access to the file.
Please make it possible to export to a zip that I can copy it elsewhere.
4. Delete/Clean up
Also I do not see how to delete the hidden exported files, these are going to fill up my storage space. The only way to do this I think is to uninstall kellermeister or perhaps to delete the app data from the android settings!
Thank you for the kellermeister app and for having this forum.
Best regards
