The Country Connection is a family owned western store known for having the largest selection of western wear, cowboy boots, fashion boots, hats, home dcor, accessories, work wear, work boots and more.

With that, Dennis enrolled in UCF Coding Boot Camp: an intensive six-month course that teaches students the latest in full stack web development. The program was initially formatted to be an in-person experience, but because of COVID-19, his university had to quickly adapt and go completely remote.

As it turns out, six months of perseverance and hard work paid off. By the end of the boot camp, Dennis had become proficient in web development, confidently building applications and thinking in technical terms.

Dennis also found his instructors to be extremely knowledgeable and supportive. With diverse software development backgrounds of their own, they provided the class with an immersive learning experience. And, they were always willing to share real-world insights that helped students understand and contextualize challenging material.

Fast forward to today, and Dennis now works as a digital engineering apprentice at Capco. He landed the role in January 2022 and is busy learning more about agile development, as well as the general overview of his workflow.

Looking ahead, Dennis aims to continue advancing in his career and eventually become a high-level software engineer. He seeks every opportunity to grow, meet his potential, and code effective solutions for everyday life.

Punishments were common in boot camp for various reasons. Especially important early on is to convert your way of thinking from that of a normal citizen, free to do as you please, to a person able to follow an order and work with your shipmates as a team. To conform (and to survive) you have to follow direct orders. Your way of life has to be regimented to certain tasks and schedules with no tolerance for any deviation. There is also the issue of following a chain of command. There has to be respect given and respect earned. Everywhere you go you march as a group. Who ever saw sailors marching on a ship? Why does a sailor need infantry training? Why do you have to fold your clothing a certain way? There is a method to all this madness.

Thanks for the memories. I was in San Diego August of 1970. Lived through a lot of what you said. Our company lost its commander and the next one had us double time to EVERYTHING. I lost 50 lbs in boot camp in 12 weeks. That one inspection you were talking about was week 1.5 and it was called stand tall day. I still remember it to this day, very hard to make it through. Read some of your other blog pages. I was an CTR that was made to change to RD half way through my 4 years. I was also on a Knox class DE, the Roark 1052. As a CT I was stationed on Taiwan for 13 months and then was sent to the PI to pick up my ship as an RD. Great times most of the time. Thanks again for the memories.

Note: The UBL binary found in the prebuilts section of the SDK is will run the processor at 456MHz. If your part will not run at that speed please use the UBL binary that ships with the Serial OMAP Flash Tool. This UBL will expect to find U-boot at a pre-defined sector on the SD Card. Please see this article on how to write u-boot for a bootable SD Card on AM180x processors.

The more I look at this, I don't think these two sets of instructions are in any way compatible (the history of the pages show they are written by two entirely different people, many months apart). So I myself am wondering what procedures are being used to prepare bootable SD cards for when the board are shipped.
