What's there to check?

He found some K-40 in salt substitute by using 2" NaI scintillator and
confirmed with HPGe, all fine and expected.

Kalin, thanks for asking - but doesn't it say the TA100 didn't show that, while the 2" Nal did. Correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, the new LaBr SAM 940 is here and it perfectly detected K40 peak from a banana in 60 seconds.

BTW, does the LaBr SAM have a white plastic ring at the front as well?
If yes - you have just measured the internal K-40 :-) (hint: Try
without banana for 60s)

Kalin, with new firmware data can be pulled of the TA. Kei will upgrade it so we can try it out.

For the SAM, yes it has the ring, but doesn't identify K40 unless you put a (American) banana in front of it.
