Dear Pieter Franken and colleagues,

A colleague at our GIScience institute, Florian Fischer, has informed us
about your article in the German highest-quality newspaper "ZEIT".

Gratulations to your achievements and to successfully combining diverse
technological approaches for the sake of fostering civil society and
responsibility!

Based on earlier work I am just finishing a paper on a heuristic formula for
the Cs transfer from soil to plant which might indicate one of possible
future usages of your results when filling them into a GIS:
http://www.uni-graz.at/globalstudies/deposit/Geo-referenceable-model-for-the
-transfer-of-radioactive-fallout-from-sediments-to-plants_WASP_151111.pdf
(still in the review process, hence confidential as usual).
There are also other studies on Cs transfer, as you are certainly aware, see
IAEA and UNSCEAR...

With best regards and wishes for success of your interesting work!

Gilbert

PS: please forward this email to Pieter Franken, Sean Bonner and Joi Ito,
thanks

Lieber Flo,
