I would so much appreciate a few healthy strong grains to help revitalize my weakened grains, in the Oakland/Berkeley area. Please email <sharo...@yahoo.com>.  Thanks, in advance.

Sorry, I live in England.
By the way, I've had my grains for years. I make kefir every day, and the grains definitely have not weakened. On the contrary they grow all the time, which is why I can give some away regularly. Why do they weaken?

Same with me. In fact if they are left on the counter for a long time they grow even faster. I wonder if it is additives in commercial milk? Maybe antibiotics or added hormones? I am lucky enuf to have a source of raw milk.

cheers

If you want to know about commercial milk, see http://thoughtforfood-aw.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/september-2011-milk.html!
I too use raw or organic not-homogenized.
Love Annemieke.

Yes certainly. If you let me know your address I will send them up if you reimburse postage. It's milk kefir.
