Hi,

I setup keePass on my android and entered in all my passwords. But now
I want to set it up on my desktop as well. I've downloaded the version
2.15 on the desktop, but i can't figure out if there is a way to
export the data file from my mobile phone to the desktop? I have
dropbox. I guess I've done this backwards..should have set it up on my
desktop first..but i was away from home.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

It doesn't make any difference where you set up KeePass. But you did
do it backwards if you enetered all the data on the phone instead of
the desktop :-) KeePassDroid unfortunately only supports the kbdx
(2.x) format as read-only. If you want to edit the file on the phone,
you will need to download KeePass 1.19b. Upload the file from dropbox
and open it using the desktop. Use the file in the dropbox folder to
edit on the phone.

If you can do most of your editing from the PC, then install 2.15 on
the desktop and import the 1.x file (.kbd) into a 2.x format (.kbdx).
From here on, you will be using the file on the phone as a read-only
until keepassdroid supports 2.x as read/write.

And if you use, 2.x, you can use the plugin at
http://keepass.info/plugins.html#kpentrytemplates for creating
templates. Have been using this setup for a year now and totally
happy.

Obviously you meant "KeePassDroid"

Yep would have beem much easier on the desktop but trhe answer is
simple, kust use Astro or similar tool to move the file on the SDCARD
to a folder within the dropbox tree and it will be uploaded.

Change your desktop to open the file from the dropbox folder.

Dropbox on the Android doesn't AUTOMATICALLY download the
updated version that you changed on your desktop, I have my password
in a folder of its own and a DROPBOX shortcut to the folder which I
click on then the file which makes dropbox check for updates, download
if
required and then open in KeePassDroid.

Forget plugin's or reverting back to 1.19b!!!

The easiest way to do this:
1. Install 2.x on desktop
2. Copy your KeePassDroid .kdb file from your phone to your desktop
3. Create a "New" database in your 2.x desktop software
4. Use the 2.x desktop software to "Import" from a "KeePass KDB (1.x)"
version
5. During that process, select the .kdb file you copied over from your
phone.
6. Follow the rest of the wizard to bring that data in.

Refer in play store app description and follow below steps to transfer files from Android to PC :

1. Connect the mobile device and the PC or laptop to the same access point (Wi-Fi router)
2. Open Kies Air on the mobile device and tap Start
3. Kies Air on the mobile device will display a URL. Enter the URL in the browser on the PC or laptop
4. Kies Air will display a 4-digit PIN on the mobile device. When prompted, enter the PIN into the browser on the PC or laptop
5. The PC or laptop is now connected and you can access the content of your mobile device.
You can also create a desktop icon to connect to Kies Air more easily.
