Does this app write hidden files onto my HDD

I assume that this launch agent would write hidden files on my external HDD for an interval of time. Would these files stay in the HDD and take up spaces? If so how to delete them?

As explained in the included Read Me file, a small hidden file named .keepThisDriveSpinning is created on the drive. The content of this file is updated once every 60 seconds (or whatever you choose) with the current time and date. There is only ever one file and it is only a few bytes in size. If you delete the file, the launch agent will silently give up and will not try to keep the drive spinning.
