Well, you are technically able to configure it to act on a solid state drive, but there is no real reason to do so. Keep Drive Spinning is intended to avoid the delay that happens when a traditional hard drive is waking up its internal hardware after a period of sleep. Solid state drives don't have that delay, so there is no reason to use Keep Drive Spinning for those drives.

Thanks for the reply it make sense but I wanted to share my experience. I had a problem using a Crucial MX300 1TB in an external enclosure for audio recording. After leaving the drive idle for a long time it did not respond / I know it makes no sense (as the sad is not a spinning drive) but after using the "Keep Drive Spining" once I had no more issues with a non responsive drive.

It sounds like you had an odd situation there, yes. But I am glad that Keep Drive Spinning was able to help you deal with it. :)
