1ST GENERATION FUNDRAISER

Hi Rej and Meejin, 

It's a good thing we had that first fundraiser as practice so now we can pull off a really stellar fundraiser for the 1st generation folks!!

Task #1 -- we need to come up with a date. 

The options we have are the 12th, 19th, and 20th.

• I am not free on 12th and it's the day before Meejin's fundraiser so this may not be the best date
• 19th -- NDD office is not available so we would need to find a place that's easily accessible by car, preferably somewhere in queens
• 20th -- let's combine the sendoff with the 1st generation fundraiser! we can have a dinner and a short program at the NDD office, and then an 2-cha (second location) at norebang!!

Let us know which of these times is best for yall ASAP so we can start sending out invites! 

Task #2 -- Rej and Meejin, get your heads together and think about what a good program would be. There should be a Q&A as well, and singing is definitely more popular with this crowd (i think we should aim high and try to sing a song that is not bangapseubnida...I am fairly sure that a good singing performance with garner more donations with these folks!!)

task #1: 7/20 sounds good.

task #2: i think one of the helpful feedback from the last mtg was that we should dedicate about an hour after our study session to plan for any future fundraiser event, which makes me wonder: do we would need to meet 4-8pm on 7/20? I mean, we would have to meet (via phone or in person to have initial mtg, but i think it should be a must to meet for about an hour after or before our last study session to tie loose ends before the 1st generation fundraiser. Also, i'm down with singing.

Hi Rej, do you mean on 7/13, not 7/20 in terms of meeting after the study session?

that day is only 1 week before the event itself, it might be better to arrange something before then where you and meejin can develop the program. one of kpt at least can also join /sit in on a call.

oops! yes, I meant 7/13 in terms of meeting after our last study session. i mentioned having to meet before 7/13 in the last email but my wording wasn't too clear, sorry. maybe we can set up the first fundraiser mtg sometime next week? i'm available next THU, FRI, or SAT evenings for a phone mtg. would any of those days work for you guys?

I am in korea July 2-10. 

I will not be able to join via conf call online either as I will be doing a host of family things while in seoul.

I will try to stay vigilant on any emails and any thing posted via google drive to share/review.

i'm confused about times a little bit.

7/13: study session at what time? did we decide on 4-7? if yes that is perfect for me and i think works w/ schedule of rej.

7/20: fundraiser at what time? and send-off at what time? i'd like to invite some friends to the send-off as well if that's okay...

sorry i know i need to chat with rej about the fundraiser for the 20th. i've set aside time this week to focus on fundraising/outreach (have an email that i just need to finesse and send out individually as well) so NDD folks you should be starting to get money in for me through the donation page.

ALSO: I am changing my party to the 27th i think. but it will be more of a hangout/sendoff. i could see about doing it the 20th. it will be at project reach and i'm going to have a couple of my DJ friends spin 90s music instead of doing it at my house.

food & drinks?

intro song (bangapseubnida)

meejin & rej: why we are going (show suzy's vid?)

outro song (our individual songs; mine is blue sky of my country)

donation ask

Rej let's talk basically about whether doing food on a much smaller scale is feasible for you. I could also think about the possibility of making kimbap, somen salad and if other folk closer to queens could bring watermelon that would be excellent!

Meejin, since you postponed your fundraiser, we can all go out as a group and have a bonding session, possibly with norebang, yes? 

i sent out the invite for the sendoff, feel free to invite your friends. the fudnraiser is at 7, sendoff at 9. i will look into norebangs in queens.
