What is the best way to track and differentiate conversions on an ecommerce site when a customer clicks on a marketing banner versus not clicking on the banner? We want to measure the effectiveness of a marketing creative on the website and if this lifts conversions vs customer who did not click on it. Can we use funnels to track the steps or is there a better way?

To some give context
We will trigger a conversion on the Thank You page but need to supply a token to differentiate between a standard order to one where a customer click a marketing campaign within the site and because of this they placed the order.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Hey Brian!

Funnels sound like the perfect solution! The steps, in my head, would be:

1. Landed on Page
2. Converted (this is the total converted people)
3. Clicked on Banner (this is the people who converted after clicking the banner)
