Subject: BDPNNetwork: New CERT class schedule up online and 2012 Cache application program open

All:

The City's Office of Emergency Services has announced the newest class schedule for the CERT program on their website at http://www.cityofberkeley.info/ContentDisplay.aspx?id=57314.  THESE CLASSES ARE ALL CURRENTLY OPEN so you are encouraged to sign up as soon as you can to secure a spot before they fill up (as they will undoubtedly as the class time approaches).

Additionally, OES has also opened the application period for the 2012 Community Emergency Supply (Cache) Program.  Applications, including eligibility requirements and what typically comes in the supplies package, can be found at http://www.ci.berkeley.ca.us/ContentDisplay.aspx?id=3920.  Related to the first item (CERT classes), if your group needs to take the CERT classes as part of your eligibility requirements, gather your participants and DO NOT DELAY in registering for classes, especially if you want to take them together.  While the classes do take a while to fill, they ultimately will closer to the class date.
