To all VA Youth committee members especially those going to or already in middle or high school

 I strongly advice you all to make use of this oppurtunity to attend this Mentorship meeting. We had one of this last year in Maryland and it was highly successfull. You can talk to those who attended the MD session (there were about 20) and they can tell you how useful and informative this session was. RSVP ASAP to ensure your participation.  The things you learn from those who have already been through your school system is priceless.  Again, Do not miss this chance!

Congratulations KYC, specifically Pranab, Bhargav and Amogh for successfully executing another excellent extremely useful mentorship meeting in VA. You guys did an awesome job in co-ordinating the event. 

 

We had about 13 students, 4 mentors (two college students and two working youngsters).  The sessions lasted for two and half hours and covered various topics such as SAT/ ACT/subject SAT, Extracurricular activities, sports, applicaitons process, Social pressures, Stress managmeent, time management etc

 

Snacks and Drinks were provided by Pranab and Bhargav, KYC provided Pizza to the participants.

 

Cannot thank the four mentors enough: Bharath Jois, Samhita Nelmangala, Deepak Chitnis  and Anita Chitnis who put the students at easy and the let the conversation flow and for their valuable insights into various topis. All of them said they enjoyed the session  and interacting with the KYC children and Deepak infact mentioned that it was too bad they did not have such sessions when they were growing up.

 

Thanks to Mamatha and Suresh Krishnana for hosting the event and all the parents who brought in their children to be part of this invaluable experience.

 

A final feather in the Cap for YUVASHAKTHI 2013 team! Three cheers to you all
