Hi all,

We are happy to announce "I Know What You Are Going To Do This Summer
2009",[1] a free (as in freedom), online (IRC-based) [2] training
sessions for wannabes to Free/Libre/Open Source Software at #dgplug on
irc.freenode.net [3].

If you are a mentor, or trainer, or prospective enthusiast who would
like to participate in this years' sessions please go through last
years' IRC logs:

We will have a review or Q&A session on last years' sessions before we
proceed into new topics, this year.

The session timings are mostly varying, usually after 1900 IST every day.

If you are interested in participating, please confirm your

Hello everyone,

After long inactivity in this group, here I am with one more post :P
Okay, for those (if any) who are interested in the DGPLUG summer
training. Here are few notes from my side:

1. Join dgplug mailing list here http://lists.dgplug.org/listinfo.cgi/users-dgplug.org
.

2. To attend the IRC sessions you need to know what is IRC chats here
http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/altircfaq.html and
http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/new2irc.html
Once you are familiar with IRC chats, you can use IRC clients in
Linux and use http://mibbit.com/ on Windows.(I advice you to have
Linux installed for this training).

3. To install Linux, you can check here http://www.iitk.ac.in/LDP/LDP/LG/current/jayanth2.html
(even if you dont want to install Linux..do read this webpage.. it's
fun and may change your mind) OR

You just need to have hunger for knowledge and desire to learn. This
has turned out to be best platform for me and I'm just trying to Pay
it forward ;). It might appear to be a littlepain in the beginning..As
qouted *No Gain without Pain*.

I dont want to say that ( due to fear of no replies :P) feel free to
ask your queries here.
And those who have more information regarding the above issues do
share.
