Hello everyone. Our college website needs redesign. It does not
provide information in a easy way and looks like college management
did not paid the designer enough to carry out his job. I would like to
request the "interested members" of this community to please come
forward.

Skills needed would be knowledge of HTML , CSS , javascript , any
server side scripting (preferably PHP) and xml.
I have good knowledge of PHP. I know HTML and CSS. But we need other
people and a javascript programmer. We would start from scratch and
may build "not-so-interactive" pages at first. Later we can add new
features.

Members who would like to work and have some previous experience in
web development can reply (Although experience is not necessary).

This is the need of the hour. The college website reflects the knowledge and development skills of its students, as most college websites and other softwares used in the college are developed by students only.

I'll recommend the use of content management systems like Drupal , Joomla, Plone etc.  Because it makes the development easier. I think that requires the server that hosts the website should support the content management system.

But it adds some overhead of learning new things, which i think always be welcomed. :)

@Karishma--- You can learn CSS (www.w3schools.com) . First you decide where u want to go. I mean design or the server side scripting. Design needs knowledge of HTML , CSS , javascript (for more interactiveness) . If u want i can provide u ebooks on CSS and HTML deployment.

Hi Prashant
Feel free to talk on this group and better keep all the discussion public.
Most of the members here are from third year CS. And we 'll soon set up a computer society in college based on the interests shown here.
