We’ve obtained URA’s approval to take temporary allocation of the reserve site from Nov 2013 – Dec 2015 (URA’s email attached). We would be submitting our temporary allocation request to SLA.

Could we seek Keat Hong CCC’s assistance to release the site on 25 Nov 2013 so that MOE can take over the site on a back-to-back basis? Thank you.

We note that URA has approved the use of the subject site by Keat Hong CCC till 2015 and CCC is agreeable to release the site to Concord Pri.

As we will be seeking URA’s approval to take temporary allocation of the site for Concord Pri’s use during the upgrading from Nov 2013 – Dec 2015, we will like to check if CCC could release the site by Nov 2013. Appreciate CCC’s advice, please. Thank you.

SLA informed that URA has earlier approved the land use by Keat Hong CCC till 2015. If Concord Primary School wishes to expand their boundary, URA’s approval will be required through MOE. SLA has no objection with the “transfer” upon approval by URA and the relevant authorities.

As mentioned earlier, CCC is agreeable to release the space. You may want to proceed to seek approval from your HQ on the expansion.

Dear Jan,

Thank you for helping Concord with this request and Concord is thankful that Keat Hong CCC has allowed the school to use it for our CCAs.

When my OM, Mr Chan brought up the idea of re-turfing the field, it was due to the condition of the field which is barren and may trap water during rainy days. It may not be conducive for both the school’s CCA and the public’s use for their recreational activities.

During the meeting, the idea was further explored by the Advisor that the CCC was contemplating either synthetic grass or the normal cow-grass. From the discussion, it seemed that the Advisor did not suggest Concord taking over the field. Concord also did not wish that it will take over the field.

However, if Keat Hong CCC is open to the idea of Concord using the plot of land, we are thinking if we can build the new 6-storey block on it instead. As you know, Concord will be undergoing its PERI PRIME upgrading project soon, and the current design is to have a new 6-storey block built in front of the school, which is near the school gate. We are always very concerned about the safety issue of our students during the upgrading even though there will be cordoning of the area. Thus, it will be good if the new block can be built on this plot of land instead as it will allow Concord to minimise such issues.

If Keat Hong CCC and SLA are fine with this idea, we will then seek the approval of MOE HQ to explore this idea for Concord to expand its school area.
