Ladies, Gentlemen, and Joe:

Hope everyone is enjoying their last year of school.

I wanted to remind everyone that today is the first day to register for the CA bar exam.  Apparently popular locations fill up, so I would recommend signing up as soon as possible, unless you want to take the test out in the boonies.

If you have any questions about the bar, or anything else, please send an email here.

Hope all is well with everyone,

Austin Pollet

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but is everyone paying the laptop fee? Does K&E reimburse for that? Or are we just supposed to go old school and "write" our essays?

Kirkland reimburses for the laptop fee.  AND for MPRE fingerprints.  Uncle Kirkland takes care of his little ones.

While we're asking stupid questions, what are the prime testing centers?

I would guess Oaktown? Anything that's in a hotel or near a bunch of hotels, like Sacramento Convention Center.

They cover laptop fee.

For anyone interested in a raging good time of a party, I signed up for the Century City one, then Pasadena, then Ontario. I hear they're all quite nice. Thousands of stressed out people taking three days worth of hellacious exams. What more could you want in a vacation destination?

I’m doing BarBri online-only, so you’re all invited for PJs and mimosas at my place.  Added bonus: my dog will try to French kiss you.

1. It is 3L on a Friday, why the hell are you all up so early?
2. Barbri in SF St. Mary's
3. Santa Clara, Oaktown, Century City.

As for the hotel reimbursements, I talked to Annie Au yesterday and this is what she sent me -

The Firm will also reimburse reasonable travel expenses including airfare, hotel, mileage,
parking and meals associated with traveling to the bar exam location for attorneys who live
further than 20 miles from the testing site (or a commute time in excess of 1.0 hour). These
expenses will only be reimbursed if in accordance with the Firm’s “Travel and Other
Reimbursable Expenses” policy. Further, the Firm will only reimburse up to a maximum of 3
hotel nights in California and 2 hotel nights in all other domestic jurisdictions. The Firm will not
reimburse a rental car and/or any related expenses of a rental car.

Finally, I appreciate that Tuna has recognized me as an extraordinary gender - not female, not male. Something more…

First, the important stuff.

In response to Chazk&%*^RAH34231&&&8SKIIII's comment: Finally, I appreciate that Tuna has recognized me as an extraordinary gender - not female, not male. Something more….

By something more, you are implying this:

Now the boring stuff. I'm registered for Pasadena, Ontario, and Century City. Barbri on the Westside.
