getdirection?

I think, "getdirection" would be useful for basic AI programming. At
the moment turtle is able to get coordinates ("getx" and "gety"), but
not a direction. Why?

I don't think we every thought of why this function isn't available in KTurtle. Nobody ever requested it, or came up with implementing it.

If there's demand for such a function. I think I could probably add it. It would make sense to have such a function, and implementation should be trivial.

oops,

intended the previous email to be sent to niels, but i sent it to the
list instead..

the mail is in dutch and besides explaining my thoughts on the modulo
function i also announce the birth of my daughter "aafje" who was born
on the 19th of march.

Hi Goff and everybody else,

I just added the getdirection command to the Git version of KTurtle. It should be in the KTurtle that comes with KDE SC 4.7 in July.

If anyone wants to test it, KTurtle builds like any other KDE application and has no requirement to very recent versions of KDE SC (I'm testing and developing using 4.5). You should be able to get it from Git and build it using the KDE libraries from our distribution.

Also, if someone wants to volunteer for wrting an entry about the getdirection command in the manual, that would be very welcome.
