Hi Jonathan,

I am a little one of KDE family, so it needs to ask more people, and I Fwd this email to them ;-)

can I kill off this site?

https://zh.planetkde.org/

seems to be unused and there is a chinese category on planetkde.org
which surely is better to use

Err, may I ask, does it cost much to keep it there?

Also, is this "language" feature of planetkde.org planned as the replacement of all other localized site? Will there be an announcement for this change?

I mean, obviously, other sites are not used commonly too, e.g. https://pl.planetkde.org/ .

I have a look at several existing subdomains of planetkde.org (zh, fr, pl, it, pt), and found most posts are release announcements.
I guess the problem is that planetkde.org is originally planned for publishing original ideas by people from KDE community, rather than translations of releases. So Jonathan might want to merge these blogs into one site, and use categories to filter different languages, while leaving releases published at www.kde.org/announcements/ .

Ok I understand that. I wonder, if it is possible, to redirect the locale domain to planetkde.org with proper language filter set?

Also I wonder if planetkde.org 's language filtering works properly.. I guess it need to have "some" article on the homepage to make it filtered..

The cost is only in the maintainance of the site, without maintainance

the old style and there is only about 1 post on it a month, this looks
bad to anyone viewing the site and gives the impression that KDE is
not very active.
