Good Evening,

A huge thank you to everyone that attended the Spring Newcomers last night! It was a great atmosphere and wonderful to see a mix of new and old faces! The directors got to share their plans for the auditions and shows themselves in person, in reference to the auditions notices available on our website.

Also, to reiterate something that was brought up at Newcomers, I would like to emphasize the how friendly and inclusive KDC aims to be. Please do audition for any play (or plays) that you like, there is no preselection and no requirement to be an expert at things like accents. Lots of the possible roles up for grabs have flexibility in age and gender etc. so we encourage everyone to be open minded about auditioning. What's important is being open and generous to your fellow actors and creatives, and above all... having fun!

Auditions are next week and Theatre Deli in Canary Wharf:

The Ghost Train - Written by Arnold Ridley, Directed by Nick Mouton, 28th March - 1st April at Barons Court Theatre.<https://www.kdctheatre.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/The_Ghost_Train_Audition_Notice.pdf>
A group of travellers find themselves stranded at a remote railway station somewhere in Cornwall. They disregard the station master's stark warnings and decide to spend the night. However, events threaten to drive the group mad as the ghostly train that haunts the line approaches ever nearer.

Dante's Divine Comedy - Directed by Douglas Baker, 4th - 8th April at Barons Court Theatre.<https://www.kdctheatre.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Dante_Audition_Notice.pdf>
Dante's Divine Comedy is an epic journey to hell and back again, it is one man's mission to find his lost love Beatrice - who tragically died. It's full of beautiful poetry, colourful characters and a classical, heroic journey through hell, purgatory and paradise.

Den of Thieves - Written by Stephen Adly Guirgis, Directed by Duncan Moore, 11th - 15th April at Barons Court Theatre.<https://www.kdctheatre.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Den_of_Thieves_Audition_Notice.pdf>
Set in New York, this brilliant comedy looks at twelve-step programme support groups (i.e. Overeaters Anonymous), and plays on the stereotypes of New York Mafia and of inept thieves.
Den of Thieves is a fast-paced comedy filled with heart, soul-searching, honesty, verbal gymnastics, violence and donuts.

Love KDC
