"command is incorrect" while run torq

Hi, Dear all:
  Why I met the error message:"The syntax of the command is incorrect."  for both bat and q script, such as:
  bat:
  E:\TorQandStarter>start_torq_demo.bat
  The syntax of the command is incorrect.
  E:\TorQandStarter><!DOCTYPE html>
  
  torq.q
  E:\TorQandStarter>q torq.q -usage
  KDB+ 3.5 2018.04.25 Copyright (C) 1993-2018 Kx Systems
  w64/ 8(16)core ......

  My platform is Windows10, TorQ 3.3, TorQ-Finance-Starter-Pack 1.6.
  Environment variables had been set as setenv.sh required.

Hi hzadonis

Just a few checks to make sure the code is set up correctly.

Have you installed q on your machine? If not, go to https://kx.com/download/

Have you downloaded TorQ from https://github.com/AquaQAnalytics/TorQ and TorQ-Financial-Starter-Pack from https://github.com/AquaQAnalytics/TorQ-Finance-Starter-Pack ?

Have you taken the files first from TorQ and put them into TorQandStarter? Then have you take the files from TorQ-Financial-Starter-Pack and copied them to TorQandStarter, overwriting any files that were already there?

Then you should be able to navigate to TorQandStarter within the command prompt and type
start_torq_demo.dat
This should result in several windows opening, each of them a different TorQ process.

Can you follow these steps and give an update?

  Thanks for your reply:)
  Yes, I had download kdb, TorQ, TorQ-Financial-Starter-Pack as you mentioned. I can run q sessions as will, actually, I had developed other functions based on kdb. So, please believe kdb/q can running smoothly at my platform.
  For TorQ and TorQ-Financial-Starter-Pack parts, I also downloaded from the github site and unzipped them separately.  And then copy all TorQ files into E:\TorQandStarter, copy all TorQ-Financial-Starter-Pack files into E:\TorQandStarter
  I did the whole process again this morning. It works like a charm!
