TLS to Gateway - servers.SOCKETTYPE vs -E 2

TorQ FSP -> v1.11.0
KDB+ -> v4 2020.03.17

Based on this post https://dataintellect.com/blog/new-in-torq-v2-6-gateways-heartbeats-and-ipc-kdb34/, I was under the impression that in order to enable tls connections to a gateway process, I'd only need to specify tcps for the gateway process on gateway.q (inside TorQ FSP).
Is this all that is needed or do I need to add the -E 2 param on the process.csv file for the gateway process?
